By 2020, more than 40% of Americans will be people of color. And by 2050, Hispanic/Latino Americans will make up 29% of the U.S. population. In order to determine if there are different effects of new medical treatments based upon differences between racial or ethnic groups, we need to recruit all groups into clinical trials in order to have the best information available.
